Green Guava - 1 Lb

Guava is a tropical fruit native to Mexico and Central America. They are widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas particularly Southeast Asia. Guavas are abundantly aromatic with creamy white flesh speckled with soft, edible seeds. Guavas have a distinctive fruity and floral guava flavor with a sweet and soft flesh when fully ripe.

 

Uses: Guavas should be left to ripen at room temperature to intensify their flavor and sweetness. The entire fruit is edible but the seeds and peel can be removed relatively easily if desired. Guavas are naturally high in pectin and make for great jams, jellies, and fillings.
